ok just a quick little hercules feel

it seems like everyone paints herc as this huge awesome saint for ~sacrificing himself for meg (even though he didn’t really because he didn’t even keep his deal with hades) but then meg’s two sacrifices are totally forgotten

like lots of people paint meg’s situation with hades as hades having TRICKED her into selling her soul and i’m like… uh no she was fully aware of what she was doing, that’s why it was so devastating when her boyfriend left her, and it makes meg not only look dumb (which she clearly isn’t) but makes her lack agency in her own fate and that makes me mad because i feel like that’s a giant part of her character

and then idk how people manage to miss the entire part where she literally PUSHES HERC OUT OF THE WAY OF A FALLING PILLAR AND GETS CRUSHED IN THE PROCESS TO SAVE HIS LIFE

like fuck bro idk i think meg is the one making more sacrifices here

i’d argue that hercules giving up his godhood is way less of a sacrifice because it’s like… look he can probably talk to his dad any time if he changes his mind, and he also gets to be with meg. it’s a sacrifice, but it’s a sacrifice to get everything he wants

so basically

meg deserves way more credit than she gets

I’m really trying not to laugh but this is too much.

Where are the sedatives? I cannot handle this hilarity.
